Staff Software Engineer

[Download resume (PDF)](https://jsonsims.com/jason-sims-resume.pdf)

Full-stack engineer who ships end to end, from production LLM-agent infrastructure at work to a cross-platform desktop app with its own community. TypeScript and Go, with deep AI-agent integration experience.

Agent-first by habit: parallel Claude Code sessions in isolated git worktrees, Herdr to keep tabs on them, VS Code for reading code and reviewing the diffs they produce.

## Projects

### Slack-native engineering agent (Pendo)

_Takes a ticket, works the codebase, opens the pull request_

An agent we call Hork, built 0 to 1 and working across a multi-repo codebase. It picks up new bugs as they're filed and jumps on CI failures on its own; an @-mention points it at a specific ticket. Bug triage came first, then smaller feature work.

Each investigation is a live session bound to a Slack thread, not a one-shot prompt. Reply to redirect it mid-run, add context like screenshots or logs, or approve the pull request it's offering.

Stack: TypeScript, Hono, Claude Managed Agents, MCP, GCP Cloud Run, Firestore

### [ROMie](https://github.com/jzimz/romie) (Open source)

_Desktop app for syncing ROM libraries to retro handhelds_

Shipped for macOS, Windows, and Linux, with an active Discord community. An extensible device-profile system maps ROMs to the right layout per handheld OS, with RetroAchievements verification by MD5 hash.

Stack: Electron, Vue 3, TypeScript, Node.js
